1. Project Introduction

The propeller maintenance project was carried out by ATLAS Mechanical & Engineering Co., Ltd. under a contract signed with Ba Son Shipyard – Ba Son Corporation (Ministry of National Defense). The project included disassembly, inspection, restoration, and maintenance of propeller systems for submarines and high-capacity surface vessels.

• Scope of work:
  • Disassembly and reassembly of the propeller system, overall mechanical inspection
  • Cleaning and ultrasonic inspection of propeller blades and bearings
  • Replacement and restoration of worn components, bushings, and sealing gaskets
  • Application of protective anti-corrosion coatings
  • Installation, alignment, and technical acceptance
• Technical standards: As required by the Vietnam Register (VR)
• Implementation time: 20 days

3. Results & Evaluation

• The project was executed safely, accurately, and in accordance with military technical standards.
• After maintenance, the propeller system operated stably with no abnormal vibrations detected.
• Ba Son Shipyard highly appreciated the service quality and the responsibility of the ATLAS engineering team.
